SEVENTEEN has released a best-of album, [17 IS RIGHT HERE], which gathers the group’s accomplishments since its ninth anniversary. DISC 1 contains 8 Korean versions of songs from the Japanese best album [ALWAYS YOURS] released in August 2023 and 4 new songs, including ‘MAESTRO’, ‘LALALI,’ which showcase SEVENTEEN’s present and future. DISC 2 celebrates and reminisces about past glories with 20 fan-favorite songs, starting with ‘Adore U.’ With 13 members, 3 units, and one team, SEVENTEEN’s music and attitudes are revealed in [17 IS RIGHT HERE].

’MAESTRO,’ centered on the piano and radiating charm, unveils SEVENTEEN’s vision of conducting the world. As Vernon raps, ‘From the beat to the melody. Mix and match, it’s our thing,’ the song also incorporates elements from past tracks. The intense and dynamic beats of ‘Fear’, ‘Super’ are intertwined with the groovy guitar riffs of ‘Adore U’ and ‘VERY NICE,’ perfectly embodying the song’s title ‘MAESTRO’ as SEVENTEEN confidently commands the realm of music.

The music video and performances unfolding in a dark dystopian world with AI and robots are impressive. Amidst all the threats and frightening situations, SEVENTEEN confidently fights back, exuding both relaxation and power simultaneously. Especially in the second half of the performance, as the beat intensifies and steps speed up to a climax, the group conducts and concludes the performance together as one, delivering a moving and thrilling experience.

’LALALI’ is an addictive EDM hip-hop track that highlights the team’s relaxed confidence. Centered around the word ‘LALALI,’ which captures the group’s energetic rhythm and dynamic stage presence, the members showcase their individuality and exceptional chemistry with each other.

Wonwoo’s rap about enduring storms is the perfect narrative for a song that encompasses SEVENTEEN’s past, present, and future. It illustrates that their current confidence and energy are the outcomes of years of hard work and growth. Vernon singing, ‘Try if you can,’ encapsulates SEVENTEEN’s determination to forge ahead with their unique attitude, undeterred by others’ judgements and criticisms.
