ZEROBASEONE's new chapter, their fourth mini-album [CINEMA PARADISE] has been released, opening the door to a shining future. ZEROBASEONE's unique cinema paradise encourages everyone dreaming of a good ending while facing challenging situations in life. This energy goes beyond their fandom, ‘ZEROSE,’ delivering joy to everyone who listens to their music. Let’s tune in to ZEROBASEONE's new music, as they create sweet stories even amidst a challenging life.

‘KILL THE ROMEO’: Becoming a Romeo of Comedy, Not Tragedy

‘KILL THE ROMEO’ is an extension of a positive narrative, running towards a ray of light even in despair. Here, ZEROBASEONE draws from Shakespeare's play ‘Romeo and Juliet’ but takes a proactive stance to change the situation before reaching the tragedy Romeo had. If the encounter with a loved one and the thrilling moments represent Act 1, then Act 2 emphasizes that a predetermined tragedy does not exist, confidently declaring the resolution to carve out their own destiny.

The unique Afro-pop rhythm and funky composition resonate with the feeling of joy at a dramatic moment when destiny changes. Towards the latter part of the song, the arrangement becomes even more colorful and rich, akin to the view of a happy and ideal future, refined with Kim Jiwoong’s dreamy vocals. ZEROBASEONE's cinema paradise, where they dream of days spent forever with their loved ones, is filled with joyous celebrations.

‘GOOD SO BAD’: Conveying the Future and Tender Present from the Center of the Universe

ZEROBASEONE's hopeful attitude of finding good in "even" bad situations is embodied in the title track ‘GOOD SO BAD’ from [CINEMA PARADISE]. This song, with its enchanting synthesizer riffs reminiscent of the Milky Way and funky rhythms, sparkles with sincerity towards loved ones like stars. A star "originally" is unstable and on the verge of explosion at any moment,, but as time passes, it becomes more steadfast and resilient. Similarly, the voices of the members in the song extend with confidence.

The lyric "The whole universe is saying, don't let her go" encapsulates their sincerity. Within it lies a heart that, despite being swayed by many negative elements in the world, holds on to one precious thing that can never be lost. The cool and groovy vocal style delivers the heartfelt lyrics without making them too heavy. It’s a composition that enjoys the happy present moment with everyone while promising a future that will continue to shine.
